Notra is a Markdown notes app for Mac, iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what information Notra handles when you use the app.

1. Notes and local files

Notra is built around files you can access and control. Your note content, attachments, tags, settings and other document data are stored on your device or in the storage location you choose. Notra does not operate a separate hosted notebook service for storing your notes.

2. iCloud storage

If you choose iCloud storage in Notra, Apple stores and synchronises the files through your iCloud account. That transfer and storage are subject to Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy. Notra does not receive your iCloud account password or control Apple’s iCloud service.

3. Sharing, printing and PDF export

When you share, print or export a note, Notra uses the system features available on your device. The information included in the resulting file is determined by the note and the destination you select. The destination app or service may handle that information under its own policy.

4. Analytics, advertising and tracking

Notra does not include advertising and does not use your notes for behavioural profiling. Notra does not sell your personal information or note content. The app does not require a Notra account to create and edit local notes.

5. App Store purchases

If you purchase Notra through the App Store, Apple processes the transaction. Notra does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple may provide purchase status needed to make the app available to you.

6. Children’s privacy

Notra does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not require a Notra account for local note-taking, you can use it without submitting personal information to Notra.

7. Changes to this policy

If the way Notra handles information changes, this page will be updated with a new effective date. The current version is always available at this URL.
